It doesn’t matter where you sit on the political spectrum, it doesn’t matter if you believe in God, Gods, Goddesses, Satan or no religious affiliation at all.
Politicians must be held to the highest of standards. ALL politicians. Scheer made some inflammatory statements against a journalist which resulted in death threats. He knew, damn well, what the potential consequences would be and let’s just say, that he is so stupid as to not realize? Then he has no business representing Canadians. Poilievre’s wife shared that post. She too, has a responsibility as a public figure, married to a politician. Words matter and in this time of escalating political violence? Now, more than ever, politicians need to uphold the dignity of office and understand the protection of truth as one of their primary responsibilities.
Please sign the petition – help to ensure the dignity of political office; force these people to speak truth, not speculatory slander. Stop the American polarization based on lies, innuendo and hate, at the doors of our parliamentary buildings.
