I’m a gamer. I’m not an Edge Lord…I’m just a gamer. I like RPGs and temps en temps, (Yes, that is French, I live in Québec and that’s how we roll here. 😁) I do MMORPGs but never in a party. Learned my lesson decades ago after receiving obscene messages and pics. My gameplay is based on the grind, its how I get my frustrations out. I will follow the scenario but not at the exclusion of whacking the crap out of demons, orcs and other foes.
I have a deep respect for devs. I also have a deep scorn for folks who, without fail, constantly rag on seasons or game mechanics.
HEY….DIPSHIT, IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT…SOLUTIONS IS EASY-PEASY; DON’T, FREAKING, PLAY IT!!
I have been playing video games longer than a lot of folks have been using the potty on their own. Started with Gold Rush and Leisure Suit Larry, played the first version of Warcraft, so yeah – been playing a while. You name the RPG or MMORPG and I’ve probably given it a shot. You know what I do when I don’t like a game? I don’t play it. It isn’t for me but I’m not going to dump on the devs or the company as a result.
I tried my hand at coding (not games) way back in the day…you know, C Basic, C+ etc. so when I play a game, I do bless those developers, those coders with all my heart and soul.
I see you! I appreciate you. If there is a season that I’m not enjoying? I play something else until a new season drops. It ain’t neurosurgery.
Critiques are great….but when it becomes your identity to criticize constantly? Just sit down and shut up. Read a book or something.
Okay, that’s all. Just needed to vent and I’m married to a guy that does not game, does not understand my love of the pastime.
