A Spooky Site Re-Opened

Plagiarism is stealing; just reminding some folks.

I had locked down Spooky Canada after I found that some of my work had been stolen. Okay, it was a silly, hissy fit but theft of intellectual material is annoying. I found my material on a site, out of Montreal, and I’m not giving the link because I refuse to offer them free views. It was a piece I had written, a long time ago, and there is was, word for word on their site. I contacted them and asked that they, at least, post a link back (common courtesy). They did not. Instead, thinking they were “oh-so-smart“, pulled out their thesaurus and changed vocabulary, added some stuff and called it good.

Okay, now that I have the reason for lockdown out of the way; I have removed the privacy restrictions and opened ‘er up again, for submissions. Submitters privacy is ALWAYS respected, if you don’t want your name or any identifiers, I respect your choice and will NEVER divulge your information.

I have new material to upload but some editing needs to be done.

(The building in the photo is the old Laurentian Sanatorium, in Ste-Agathe, QC; my grandfather died there, from tuberculosis. The core of the building is still standing and is known as the Jacques Duquette Building, part of the C.S.S.S. de Ste-Agathe.)
